The Michigan Cheese Makers Cooperative is dedicated to the production of artisanal and farmstead cheese. Cheeses made in the “hand” of Michigan are just that – crafted primarily by hand, adhering to the standards of each of our cheese makers’ art.
Michigan Cheese Makers artisanal cheeses are produced and aged according to time-honored tradition, using milk from local and known sources and with as little mechanization as possible to yield the most complex and unique tastes.
Our farmstead cheeses are created with milk from the farmer’s own herds and flocks on the very farm where each animal is raised with meticulous attention to highest quality cheese production.
In providing cheese connoisseurs with “green” cheese, the Michigan Cheese Makers Cooperative is committed to adding value to farm crops and using only the freshest milk, helping to sustain local economies across our rich agricultural region.
